| French Draft Bill against infringement |

This draft bill, as modified by the legislative assembly and transmitted to the French Senate for a second reading, implements the Directive 2004/48/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004. This project aims to introduce into the French system new mechanisms to fight counterfeiting, such as accelerated procedures and simplification of referral to the Courts in the case of urgency. The project improves the calculation of indemnities and damages granted by the Courts to the victims of counterfeiting.
